Animal portraiture is a bit of a sideline for me. My art practice is largely influenced by the natural world but a love of animals and the beauty of their shapes and movement have always inspired me.
A painted or sketched image of a beloved pet is so much more memorable than a photo. It can showcase nuances of personality and presence. A special and individual gift for someone who loves their pet or has recently lost one.
I will give you an idea of cost and how we go about the process …
PAPER SIZE : A4…Artist quality watercolour paper ( unless you would prefer an oil on canvas painting ..I can do that too)
MEDIUM : for a sketch…either pencil/ charcoal or coloured pencil ..$60
for a painting..gouache /watercolour on paper …$150
..oil on canvas (or I can do acrylic if you prefer that..) POA
If you would like more than one pet in the painting an extra $20 ….to get both right takes a double effort !
Postage is extra of course…
A good quality photo of your pet is all I require for reference…. When completed I will send you an email with the image so you can see how it looks…if happy with it let me know and I can send if off to you !
